My Telehealth : Enabling A Healthcare Company With Custom Online Application For Improving Operational Efficiency
Overview
Telehealth is a web-based medicine consultation service created by Lynch Pharmacy in 2015 with the aim of improving patient medication knowledge and prescription adherence. The service offers around 1,000 health videos on medicines and health conditions, and new members can sign up for free to access these videos.
With the expertise of LN Webworks, Lynch Pharmacy's online presence was enhanced, and its mission to promote health and advance health equity was further realized. Telehealth continues to serve as a valuable resource for patients seeking medication knowledge and better health outcomes.
The Challenges: Balancing Functionality and Visual Impact to Establish a Reflective Web Presence
The Telehealth team had a clear vision for their website - to create a web presence that accurately reflected their values of being forward-thinking, diverse, and exclusively located in Ireland. However, they also recognized the need to balance functionality and aesthetics while staying within their budget. However, the challenge was compounded by the fact that Telehealth’s site design and taxonomy had to align with the missions of each product.

The Approach
During our discovery process, we adopted a collaborative approach that involved various brainstorming techniques to identify and define Telehealth's objectives, success criteria, and user personas. We utilized a range of sticky notes and games to facilitate the generation of ideas and insights, resulting in a comprehensive understanding of Telehealth's needs.
With this information, we proceeded to create a series of style tiles that accurately captured Telehealth's bold and adventurous personality. Through numerous iterations, we refined the design until we achieved the desired aesthetic that reflected Telehealth's values.
Although we usually transition straight into designing in code, we felt it necessary to develop key pages as comps to streamline the approval process. In doing so, we ensured that our final designs showcased visually stunning graphics, incorporated dynamic and reusable components, and most importantly, met Telehealth's objectives.
The Solution
The LN team collaborated directly with Telehealth's CEO to revamp the website, with a focus on the target users and delivering value to them.
To achieve this goal, we designed and developed a website on Drupal, a robust content management system that offers unparalleled flexibility and customization options. Our design was heavily influenced by Telehealth's core values, and we crafted the user interface with the target users in mind.
By building the website on Drupal, we empowered Telehealth with an intuitive and easy-to-use platform for managing and publishing content, including dynamic images and engaging content.
